How to Play For Free With Your Friends With the Friends' Pass

The Ikonei Island's Friends' Pass allows up to 4 people to play the entire game, with just one bought copy of the game.

How To
1. You or one of your friends need to buy a copy of Ikonei Island: an Earthlock Adventure on your desired platform. 
2. The player who owns the game (referred to as "premium player" from now on) has to open the settings menu in-game > multiplayer options > and copy their join code.
3. The other players then need to select "Join Game" in their main menu screens and paste the code. Done! Up to 3 Friends' Pass/premium players can join (the multiplayer limit is 4).
4. As long as the host is a premium player, all the other players will be able to play the game indefinitely for free.

Note: The Friends' Pass also works as a demo. This means that anyone can install it to play the first ~2 hours for free, solo or in multiplayer. But if they want to continue playing, they must either buy a copy or join the game of a premium player.

Note: There is currently no crossplay functionality between different systems i.e. no PC to console. You can however cross play between Steam and Epic on PC.

Important
• Make sure all the players update the game to the latest version. Otherwise, you may experience crashes and bugs.

PC specific:
• Check if no firewalls are blocking Ikonei's access to anything.
• Set up the time correctly on all players' PCs.
• Make sure everyone's graphics card drivers are up to date.
• Make sure everyone has enough storage space (Ikonei requires ~6 GB of free space).

If you still experience issues, see if a reinstall solves the problem. If not, please go to our Discord server and share your PC specs, save, and crash files with us. You can grab them from:

• Save files: C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local\Castaway\Saved\SaveGames

• Crash files: C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local\Castaway\Saved\Crashes
